Raymond A. Ferland

Raymond A. Ferland, FRFD, Ret., age 67, of Fall River, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, July 21, 2024. He was the husband of Paula J. (Langlais) Ferland.

Ray served as a Firefighter and EMT with the City of Fall River for 31 years. He retired from the Fall River Fire Department in 2014.

Previously, he had worked at Fall River Ambulance Co.

In his spare time Ray enjoyed working with his hands, live music, camping, and spending time with his family. He loved to grow his knowledge and was interested in history and education. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father and will be sorely missed.

Besides his wife of 40 years, he leaves a son, Armand Ferland (fiancée Kristen Banville), a daughter, Renee Carvalho (husband Jacob); Siblings Henry Ferland, Cecil Aubin, John Ferland, Louise Ferland, and Rita Lebeau. He was the son of the late Albert Ferland and Imelda (Levesque) Ferland and brother of the late Marguerite Ferland and Madeleine Bileau.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St. Fall River.

His funeral will be held Thursday, July 25 at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Holy Name Church, Hanover St., Fall River, at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery.
