Raymond T. Vallee

Raymond T. Vallee, 79, of New Bedford, formerly of Fall River, husband of Margaret A. "Peggy" (O'Grady) Vallee and the late Doris (Deschenes) Vallee, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

A former Eagle Scout, he was a 34 year employee of American Dryer, a Past Grand Knight and Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton and a member of the Fall River Freelancers.

Besides his wife of 27 years, he leaves two daughters, Elizabeth Mahaleris (Charles) of Augusta, Maine and Theresa Charette (Adam) of Tiverton; grandchildren, James St.Laurent (Kerri), Amanda St.Laurent and Angela Scheiman; stepchildren, Michael Seifert (Sharon), Bernadette Leonard, Jeffrey Seifert (Lorie) and Roseanne Bentley-Reis; and numerous loving great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Raoul "Ray" and Yvonne (Carrier) Vallee.

His funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Association, 4 So. Main St., Fall River MA 02721. Ray's family is grateful to the staff of Alden Court Nursing Care, Fairhaven, for their exceptional care.
