Raymond H. Mooney, Sr.

October 10, 1920 — April 1, 2006

Raymond H. Mooney, Sr., 85, of Atlantic Boulevard, Fall River, died at home Saturday, April 1, 2006, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Theresa "Terry" (Louro) Mooney and the husband of the late Madeleine (St.Pierre) Mooney. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late James and Louisa (Mullin) Mooney. A Navy veteran of WW II, he was president of M & S Cement Block and Bristol County Liquid Waste and vice president of Terry's Black and White Boutique. He was a member of the New Bedford Country Club and a former member of St. Anne Fraternity, South End Merchants Association, The One Hundred Club of Massachusetts, the Exchange Club, the Quequechan Club and the Southeastern Massachusetts Police Chiefs Association. Besides his wife of 25 years, he is survived by 2 sons, Raymond H. Mooney, Jr. and his wife Mary of Titusville, Florida and Paul K. Mooney, Sr. and his wife Joan of Fall River; a daughter, Jacqueline Amorin and her husband Joseph of Somerset; 6 grandchildren, Dawn Perry, Valerie Mercer, Desiree DuPont, Holly Napier, Jessica Frazier and Paul Mooney, Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Paul, Justin, Paige, Jillian, Karissa, Zoey, Samantha, Shea and Amya; and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James Mooney, Edna Trenholme, Margaret Pirozzi and Louise Scanlon. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
