Raymond J. Martin

Raymond J. Martin, 75, of Somerset, husband of Patricia M. (Shevela) Martin, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

He served in the Air Force and was a retired Texas Instruments, Attleboro, supervisor. He was a New England Sports Fan and a member of the Somerset Bocce League and the East Taunton Bocce Club. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events and being with his many good friends.

Besides his wife of 53 years, he leaves four children, Christopher Martin and his wife Sue of Somerset, Michelle Martin of North Kingstown, RI, Richard Martin and his wife Amie of Swansea and Jeffrey Martin and his wife Tiffany of Westport, MA; grandchildren, Natalya, Christopher, Bryce, Kyla, Sam, Sadie and Sophia; a great-granddaughter, Ciara; sisters, Rita Cyr (late husband Joseph) and Lorraine Silveira (husband Manuel) all of Swansea and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Steven E. Martin; the son of the late Edward J. and Alberta T. (Desbiens) Martin and the brother of the late Donald Martin (late wife Theresa, Normand Martin (wife Claudette of Swansea) and Claire Machado (husband Mitch of Fall River).

Visitation, at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Saturday afternoon, December 30, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.

His funeral mass will be held Tuesday, January 2, from the Auclair Funeral Home, at 8:45 AM with a funeral mass at St. Patrick Church, Somerset at 10:00 AM. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
