Raymond "Mon" Levesque, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, at the age of 94. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian H. (Langlais) Levesque.
Raymond lived a life marked by dedication to his community and family. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War, reflecting his commitment to the nation and its values.
Raymond was an active member of several organizations that fostered a sense of camaraderie and service. He was a proud member of the Holy Name Society, and the East End Sportsmans Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Boehr Council #4753, Tiverton, where he was a Third Degree Knight and also was named Knight of the Year. He was also a Gold Circle Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his loving children, Diane Rua (late husband Daniel), Pauline Ouellette (husband Paul), Denise Rua (husband Michael), and Ronald Levesque (wife Maryellen). Raymond's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Daniel Rua (fiancée Heidi), Kimberly Rua (fiancé Jonathan), Jamie-Lynn Desmarais (husband Steven), Jody Almeida (husband John), Nathan Ouellette, Jared Ouellette, Jonathan Levesque, and Carly Levesque (fiancé Devin); and his great grandchildren, Jarrod, Michael, Kerstin, Danielle, John, Liam, David, Michael, Autumn, Garrett, Lucas, Gabe, and Mia.
Raymond was predeceased by his sisters, Jeannette Allard, Bertha Viera, and Cecile Michel, his brothers, Jean B. Levesque and Robert Levesque, and his parents, Jean Baptiste and Josephine (Gauvin) Levesque.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River.
His funeral will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, from the funeral home with a Funeral Service at 9:00AM.
Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made either to the Church of Our Savior Annelle Delorme-Hagerman Food Pantry, 2112 County Street, Somerset, MA 02726, or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
Raymond's contributions to his family, community, and country will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His spirit, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved serve as a lasting legacy.
