Raymond Laflamme, 88, of Swansea, husband of Cecile (Paquette) Laflamme, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Wednesday, January 11, 2017.
He was property manager of Riverview Towers, Milliken Boulevard, Fall River from the opening in 1970 till 2008, and several commercial properties in Rhode Island, and manager of the former Capitol Bowling Alleys. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid golfer and a Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins fan and a member of the South End Athletic Club.
Besides his wife of 68 years, he leaves four children, Diane McDonald and her husband Daniel of Somerset, Marc Laflamme and his wife Patricia, Russell Laflamme and his wife Donna and Lisa Celeste and her husband Scott, all of Swansea; grandchildren, Cristin, Sean and Melissa McDonald, McKayla Costa, Douglas Laflamme and his wife Jocelyn, Elise West and her husband Ben, Anthony and Isabella Celeste; great-grandchildren, Patrick and Ryan O'Neill and Olivia DeMello; siblings, Gertrude Charest of Wallingford, CT, Lucien "Jack" Laflamme of Fall River and Roger Laflamme of Port Charlotte, FL; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Albert and Celina (Paquette) Laflamme and brother of the late Celestine Dube, Caroline Charest, Jeannette Charest and Marguerite Trenholme.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea at 10:00 AM. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. at Auclair Funeral Home, Parking in the rear. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 270 Ocean Grove Ave., Swansea MA 02777.
