Raymond F. Hurley

Raymond F. Hurley 81, of Sippican Nursing Home in Marion, husband of the late Margaret Hurley of New Bedford, died Tuesday September 23, 2014. A longtime native of New Bedford, MA, he was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Merchant Marine, Navy and Marine Corps as a Corporal officer in the infantry division. After an honorable discharge on July 12, 1954 from the United States Marine Corps, he worked for the city of New Bedford. He leaves three daughters, Robin Hurley and Sandra Tripp, both of Fairhaven and Tammy Hurley of New Bedford; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Darlene Sanchez; the son of the late Andrew Hurley and Irene (Francis) Henriques Hurley and the brother of the late Mildred Lincoln and Arline Boulay. To honor his wishes the family will be having a private ceremony.
