Raymond A. Desrosiers

Raymond A. Desrosiers, 79, of Arizona St., Fall River, husband of Emilia (Correia) Desrosiers, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014. A truck driver and crane operator, he was employed by Mid City Scrap Iron & Salvage Co., Westport for many years. An avid fisherman and bowler for over 50 years, he was a member of the Holiday Lanes, Westport "Hall of Fame". Besides his wife of 59 years, he leaves 7 children, Deborah St. Pierre of Swansea, Jean St.Pierre, Janice Beck, Raymond Desrosiers, Jr. Sharon Almeida and Laurie Medeiros, all of Fall River and Maureen Rodrigues of New Bedford; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Loretta Ferreira of Florida, Lorraine Bettencourt and Joseph and Normand Desrosiers, all of Fall River; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Alfred Desrosiers and Lillian (Dufresne) Desrosiers Branco and the brother of the late Mary D. "Del" Martel and Roger Desrosiers. His funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Bernadette Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
