Raymond L. Chaunt

Raymond Chaunt, 79, of Fall River, husband of Jeanne (Gauthier) Chaunt, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 10, 2016, surrounded by his family after fighting a long battle with cancer.

He served in the Navy and worked for various oil companies for over 30 years. He had a heart of gold, was dedicated to his family and his country and will be forever missed.

Besides his wife of 58 years, he leaves six children, Diane Leduc (Thomas Provost) of Tiverton, Denise Augustine (Wayne) of Las Vegas, NV, Susan Acosta (Roberto) of North Providence, RI, Karen Eipert (William) of Pittsford, NY, Robert Chaunt (Lisa) of Fall River and David Chaunt (Sue Costagliola) of Rockland, MA; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; siblings, Rosemary Blackburn of Tiverton, Richard Chaunt of Westport and Paulette Lemay of Fall River and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Aime and Jeannette (Tessier) Chaunt and the brother of the late Leo Chaunt.

Visitation, Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02284-9168. Online guest book at AuclairFuneralHome.com. His funeral service will be private.
