Raymond R. Beausoleil, 78, of Serenity Hill Nursing Home, Wrentham, MA, formerly of No. Main St., Fall River, Murphy Village, Somerset and Gabriel House, Oliver St., Fall River, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Rheal "Leo" Beausoleil and Yvonne (Perrault) Beausoleil Grandmont, he lived in Fall River most of his life and in Davenport, Florida for 5 years. A Navy veteran of WW II and Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from Bryant College in 1956.
In New York he was an internal accountant for US Rubber and Best Foods and an estate and trust accountant for Irving Trust. He then was employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Brockton, MA and was a personnel staffing specialist and systems manager at the Naval Education and Training Center, Newport, retiring in 1986.
A former Holy Name Parish and Fall River Nursing Home eucharistic minister, he was a former member of the Sacred Heart Parish First Friday Club and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Holy Name Parish, Fall River and a recipient of the Rhode Island Rehabilitation Association's Humanitarian Award.
Survivors include a brother, Norman Beausoleil and his wife Connie of Swansea;
his stepmother, Mary Beausoleil of Portmouth, RI,
2 half-brothers, John Beausoleil of Middletown, RI and Joseph Beausoleil of Erie, PA;
a half-sister, Donna Lee Hetland of Middletown, RI;
a stepbrother, Robert J. Grandmont, Jr. of Everett, MA;
aunts and an uncle, Helen, Nell and Daniel Perrault;
3 nieces, Norma Hyde, Barbara Guilbeault and Cynthia Rego and 5 nephews, Steven, Alan, Brian, Paul and David Beausoleil.
He was the brother of the late Albert "Zip" Beausoleil, the stepson of the late Robert Grandmont and the companion of the late Abel Ferreira.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Name Church at 10:00.
Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
