Philip R. Jagoe, 93, of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. He was the husband of Dolores (Tavares) Jagoe, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage.
A proud veteran of the Korean War, Philip served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, embodying the spirit of a true patriot. His dedication to service reflected the values he held dear throughout his life.
Philip's passion for horse racing was a defining interest that brought him much joy. He found great pleasure in watching the races. However, above all else, it was the time he spent with his grandsons, that filled his heart with the utmost happiness. They brought a sparkle to his eyes and warmth to his soul.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his son Philip Jagoe, his grandsons, Nathan Rawson and Nick Jagoe. Philip is reunited in spirit with his parents, the late Charles Raymond and Ida (DeNadal) Jagoe; his daughter-in-law Sherrie Ann (Rawson) Jagoe; and his sister, the late Rita Haracz.
Philip R. Jagoe will be remembered for his unwavering love, service, and a life enriched by the bonds of family. His presence will be profoundly missed but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
