Philip J. Concaison

Philip J. Concaison, 87, of Amity St., Fall River, formerly of Bay St., died Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center. He was the husband of the late Mary "Mamie" (Champlain) Concaison. Born in Fall River, the son of the late John and Julia (Soares) Concaison, he lived in New Bedford for several years and in Fall River most of his life. An Army veteran of WW II, he was employed by Anderson Little, Fall River for several years and was a corrections officer for 25 years at Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Norfolk, retiring in 1975. Survivors include a brother, Michael Concaison and his wife Jovina of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Mary Kilby and her husband James and Emilia Soares, all of Fall River; a stepson, Charles Somers and his wife Bella of Westport; a godchild, Priscilla Perez and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Anna Cabrera, Antone Concaison and Elizabeth Ramos. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
