Peter J. Hoss, 99, of Swansea, formerly of Adamsville, RI and Fall River, husband of the late Helen (Foley) Hoss, died Monday, November 24, 2008.
Retiring in 1974, he was corporate credit manager for Robertson Factories, Taunton for 24 years. A former member of Swansea Council on Aging and Bristol Elder Services, he was a Our Lady of Fatima and St. Francis of Assisi parish lector, Eucharistic minister and Marian Medal recipient. He enjoyed card playing and was an avid bowler at Somerset Holiday Lanes.
He leaves 3 children, William Hoss (wife Jean) of Tolland, CT, Patricia Powers (husband James) of Smyrna, DE, formerly of Bristol, RI and Mary Bonney (husband George) of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Somerset; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea at 9:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Fall River.
Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. PLEASE OMIT FLOWERS.
