Warren

Peter Brendan Harney, 61, known as Brendan, a loving and devoted husband and father, passed away on February 3, 2025. His warmth and kindness captured the hearts of everyone he encountered, leaving a lasting legacy of love and compassion. He was the loving husband of Kathleen Bell-Harney.

Besides his wife, Peter is survived by his son, Jackson Harney; his mother, Janet (Hunt) Harney; his siblings, Kelly Harney, Patrick Harney, and Erin Perry (husband Danny); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Harney.

Known for his loving nature, Peter was a devoted family man who took an extreme interest in his son's life and pursuits, always encouraging and supporting him. His mantra, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," reflected his commitment to treating everyone with respect and kindness. As a friendly and kind neighbor, he touched countless lives with his genuine spirit and love for socializing.

Peter's interests extended beyond his family. He had a profound appreciation for the beauty in everyday life, enjoying simple pleasures and finding joy in each moment. One of his favorite places in the world was Second Beach in Middletown, RI, where he cherished countless memories. Every Friday night, he could be found enjoying the company of his loving wife at the Square Peg, a tradition that brought him joy and connection with those around him.

A gifted musician, with a love for music, and one of the smartest people one could meet, Peter was not just a skilled artist but also a knowledge seeker with a deep thirst for understanding. There wasn't anything that he couldn't do. His accomplishments were many, but it was his loving and devoted personality that truly set him apart. He was the best guy in the whole wide world. We will always love him and will always be thinking of him.

He will be so incredibly missed, and his legacy and memory will live in the hearts and minds of his loved ones forever.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
