Peter M. Costa

Peter M. Costa, 34, of Fall River, died Saturday, July 11, 2015. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Antonio and Maria F. (Medeiros) Costa. He was a Test and Intergration Engineer at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport from 1999 to 2009. He studied electrical engineering at UMass Dartmouth from 2004 to 2007. Peter enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and the ocean and New Hampshire ski trips. He especially cherished spending time with his son Anthony. Besides his parents, he leaves a son, Anthony P. Costa of New Bedford; a sister, Angie Dias and her husband Kevin of Tiverton, a brother, Eric Costa of Fall River, paternal grandmother Elvira (Pimental) Costa of Fall River, maternal grandfather Jose Medeiros of Fall River, a niece, Mirai Dias of Tiverton, the mother of his son, Kendra MacCord of New Bedford, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the paternal grandson of the late Antonio Costa and the maternal grandson of the late Conceicao (Miranda) Medeiros. His funeral will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. with a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. in Esprito Santo Church, 311 Alden St. Fall River. Cremation to follow. Visitation Tuesday, July 14, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
