Peter J. Chmura

Peter J. Chmura, 66, a resident of Tiverton, Rhode Island for many years, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Peter was a graduate of Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, where he completed his education in the Electrical Program. His training laid the groundwork for a successful career as an electrician, a field in which he took great pride and excelled throughout his life.

Peter was known for his kindness and genuine love for animals, especially dogs. He cherished the time spent by the water, often accompanied by his loyal companion, Shane. These serene moments by the water were a true reflection of his love for nature and his appreciation for the simple joys in life.

He is survived by his fiancée, Diane Couto, who was a cherished part of his life, as well as his sister, Linda Ferland. 

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, John P. Chmura and Mary E. (Howes) Chmura.

His funeral service and burial were private.
