Fall River

Paul J. Roy, 81, of Fall River, passed away Saturday April 20, 2024.

He was the husband of the late Madeleine C. (Pascoal) Roy.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Paul was the son of the late Raymond N. and Lena (Brisebois) Roy.

Paul was an avid fisherman who loved to fish with his brother Roger. He loved dogs and enjoyed visiting car museums with his grandson, Jeffrey.

A graduate of Prevost High School, Paul worked for Millright, AMF Bowling Alley installing bowling lanes, and retired after being employed by the Fall River School Department as a custodian.

He served 30 years in the Army National Guard, 181st Common Support Engineers.  He was a lifetime member of the Somerset Progressive Club and a member of the VFW Post 2045, Swansea.

He was also a member of the American Legion Post 303 in Swansea, where he served as a delegate on the board for several years.

Paul is survived by his children, David Roy (wife Katherine), Karyn McDonald, and Jason Roy; a grandson, Jeffrey Roy; and a brother, Roger Roy.

Paul was the brother of the late Maurice and Norman Roy.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 1, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, with a service at 6:00PM, in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Forever Paws .

Burial is Private.
