Pauline L. Cote

July 17, 1937 — February 1, 2025

Westport

Pauline L. (Longchamps) Cote, 87, of Westport, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born on July 17, 1937, in Fall River, Pauline was a graduate of Jesus Mary Academy. She was employed by Anesthesia Associates and later at MetLife Insurance.

Pauline was deeply committed to her faith and community. A dedicated member of Our Lady of Grace Church for many years, she volunteered with tireless spirit, particularly at Bingo events where she brought joy to so many. As a Eucharistic Minister, she visited the shut-ins of her community, bringing them not only communion but also warmth, companionship, and the spirit of love that defined her. This devotion was recognized when she was awarded the Marian Medal, a testament to her profound impact on those around her.

Pauline's family was her pride and joy. She shared over 63 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert P. Cote. Together, they raised two sons, David Cote (wife Jody) and Gregory Cote (partner Lisa Boron). She is also survived by her adoring granddaughter, Khoryn Cote; special sister-in-law Diane Sunderland and nephews Mark, Lee and Chris Sunderland and loving niece Anne Marie Kern and her husband Tom, and extended family and many dear friends.

Pauline found joy in simple pleasures, such as spending time with her family and friends, going to the theater, travelling and making puzzles, which reflected her curious mind and love for challenge.

She was the sister of the late Phillippe Longchamps and Doris Briere and the daughter of the late Louis Longchamps and Yvonne (Dumont) Longchamps.

A visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Friday, February 7, at 9:00 AM from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd. Westport, at 10:00 AM.

Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
