Pauline J. Alves-Barboza

Pauline J. (Desruisseaux) Alves-Barboza, 83, of Fall River, formerly of Westport, wife of Humberto Barboza and the late Charles W. Alves, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, playing the organ, ceramics, ballroom dancing and spending time with her family.

Besides her husband of 13 years, she leaves four children, Robert Alves and his wife Lois of N. Dartmouth, Charlene Gammiero and her husband Gary of New Bedford, Sandra Langlois and her husband Michael of Westport and Julie Goyette and her husband Wayne of Fall River; eight grandchildren, Lori DeSousa, Robert Alves, Jr., Ian Janson, Jacob Janson, Brent Pizzo, Shawn Langlois, Austin Langlois and Chase Goyette;
many great and great-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Doris Doane and her husband Darryl of Fall River and Philippe Desruisseaux and his wife Marge of Florida and son-in-law Mark Janson of Swansea. She was the mother of the late Steven Alves and Cynthia Janson; the grandmother of the late Curtis Schofield and the daughter of the late Raoul and Leona (Pichette) Desruisseaux.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 AM. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.
