Paula (Barnaby) Geary

Paula M. (Barnaby) Geary, 78, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Born in San Diego, California, she was the daughter of the late Aime A. Barnaby, and Anita R. (Knight) Barnaby of Westport, MA.

She was a graduate of Dominican Academy, Fall River, Vernon Court Junior College, Newport and Academie Beaux-Arts, De Quebec, Canada.

Paula lived most of her life on the shore of the Watuppa in Westport, with fond memories of 4th of July family celebrations with clam boils and fireworks. She spoke often of the beautiful sunsets she had witnessed over the many years. Paula loved her family, her dogs, gardening and family genealogy.

Paula is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Wayne N. Geary.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Ward (wife Jennifer) of Palm Coast, FL, Brendan Ward (wife Stephanie) of Westport, MA, and Benjamin Ward of Fall River, MA; grandchildren, Ethan, Rachel, Ryley, Bella, and Brady; great-grandson, Lincoln; siblings, Nancy Branco, James Barnaby (wife Debra) and she was the sister of the late Judith Barnaby

Paula also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Paula's Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St, Fall River.

Her burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, and with Paula's love of animals the family would appreciate donations to the Forever Paws Animal Shelter.
