DATE AND TIME CHANGE DUE TO SNOWSTORM: Following cremation, his memorial service will NOT be held Monday AND WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY at 11:00 a.m. at Redemption Fellowship, 385 Pleasant St. Fall River. Sgt. Paul L. Paquette, Massachusetts Army National Guard, Ret., 69, of Somerset, husband of the late Theresa (Goulet) Paquette, died Monday, February 1, 2016. A former employee of Pioneer Finishing, he served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He used his great sense of humor to make people forget the negative and think positively. An avid organ, accordion and harmonica player, he enjoyed watching movies. He leaves three daughters, Priscilla Desrosiers and her husband Aaron of Somerset, Patricia Mendes of Fall River and Joanne Gomes and her husband Steve of Cranston; his former wife Priscilla (Delong) Paquette of Fall River; grandchildren, Mikail Paquette, Keira and Jacob Desrosiers, Eric Gomes, Devin Silva and Bailey Mendes; nieces and two stepchildren and their children. He was the brother of the late Bernard Paquette and the son of the late Stanislaus and Rose (Lescault) Paquette.
