Paul R. Lavigne, 71, of Fall River, formerly of Westport, husband of Elizabeth-Ann (Machado) Lavigne, and son of the late Gerard and Loretta (Larrivee) Lavigne, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015. An educator, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from UMass Dartmouth, formerly SMU and taught in the Fall River School System for 39 years. He served in the Army Reserve and was a bartender at the Venus de Milo Restaurant for 26 years. Besides his wife of 47 years, he leaves four children, Michelle Eaton of No. Dartmouth, Jennifer Pirri and her husband Joseph of Concord, NC, Brian Lavigne and his wife Lisa of Acushnet and Lara-Beth Terry and her husband Nicholas of Taunton; grandchildren, Timothy, Jacqueline and Sean Eaton, Brianna and Anthony Pirri, Collin and Cassandra Lavigne and Aidan, Noah and Isabella Terry; a great-granddaughter, Lily-Ann Pereira; a brother, Normand G. Lavigne and his wife Kim of Riverside, CA; nephews, Paul, James and Daniel Lavigne, a niece, Anna Lavigne and aunts. His funeral will be held Saturday at 7:45 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Holy Trinity Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial, private. Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
