Paul L. Menard, 73, a dedicated rehabilitation counselor, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 31, 1951, Paul was known for his gentle spirit and his unwavering commitment to helping others. He devoted many years of his career to the Town House in Fall River, where he made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Paul was a graduate of Westport High School and furthered his education at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, before earning his Master's Degree at Boston University.
In addition to his professional achievements, Paul was an epicure with a deep appreciation for scrumptious food. He enjoyed exploring new culinary experiences, and his passion for good taste often brought joy to those around him. Paul was an avid reader, immersing himself in various literary works, yet none captured his heart quite like the Token series. This literary affection did not remain solely within him; Paul imparted this passion to his beloved nephew, Gavin, nurturing in him a love for books that will surely endure as a testament to his influence. He also enjoyed poetry, classical music and spending time with his cats.
Paul is survived by his sister, Susan J. Barcelos and her husband William Kolakowski; his brother, Robert Menard; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Jeremy Menard, Jessica Parsons, Jacob Menard, Lisa Eubanks, Amy Menard, Matthew Menard, Sara Gilliland, Janell Brady, Nathaniel Barcelos, and was the uncle of the late Jonathan Menard. He was also cherished by his great nieces and nephews, Ariana, Isaiah, Gaije, Gavin, Drake, Colby, Sam, Noah, Jonas, Liam, Clementine, Eleanor, Theodore, Finn, Beatrice, Parker, Maya, Kennedy, and Ace, as well as his great-great nephews, Nathan and Jack.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Paul F. Menard; his mother, Lucille G. Lavoie Menard; and his brother, Peter Menard.
