Paul C. Doherty

Paul C. Doherty, 82, of North Main St., Fall River, husband of Barbara A. (Wright) Silvia Doherty, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012. A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1948 and Bryant College, he was a life insurance agent and employed by the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance. Besides his wife he leaves sons, David Doherty of Falmouth, MA and Peter Doherty of Fort Myers, FL; his former wife Joanne (Regan) Doherty of Fall River; a stepson Brett Silvia of Somerset; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late James and Mae (Fox) Doherty and the brother of the late John, James and Edward "Ned" Doherty. His funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Name Church at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
