Paul J. "Joe" Deschenes

FALL RIVER - Paul (Joe) Deschenes age 64 of Fall River passed away on Tuesday October 24 at Saint Anne Hospital with his sisters Pauline and Anne Marie at his side. He was the son of the late Albert O. J. Deschenes and Bermonde Lemieux Deschenes. Joe was one of 14 brothers and sisters: Rita (deceased) a Sister of St. Joseph; Lauretta, wife of Daryl Gonyon; Raymond (deceased) wife Diane; Doris (deceased) wife of Raymond Vallee (deceased); Robert, husband of Yvette; Alice, wife of Robert Beauchesne; Albert O. J. Jr., wife Maria; Irene Deschenes; Claudette, wife of Robert St. Laurent; Lucille, wife of Antone Tarvis (deceased); Pauline, wife of Gordon Birge and previously Rene' Mullaney (deceased); Richard Deschenes (deceased); Anne Marie, wife of Elmer Mayes. He also has many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family is greatly appreciative for the loving care given Joe by the St. Anne's Hospital St. Jude Intensive Care Unit.
Joe Graduated from Diman Regional High School in 1971, learning a trade in electricity.
Joe worked for Broadway Electric in Fall River for 33 years, specializing in electric motor repair.
He was a Red Sox fan, and was a member of the Liberal Club. He loved Needle Crafts.
His funeral will take place at 11 AM Saturday October 28 at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main Street Fall River. Visitation 10 AM. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River at a later date.
