Patsy D. (Scates) Travassos

Patsy D. (Scates) Travassos, 65, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

She was the wife of Arthur Travassos.

Born in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Patsy was the daughter of the late Raymond and Wanda (Kilgore) Scates.

Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had two hearts, one beat solely for her precious granddaughter, Savannah. Patsy was employed by Bristol Community College where she worked in the General Equivalency Degree Department. In her earlier years, she worked as part of a Rescue Squad, at Seibel & Stern, Yomega YoYo Corporation, and Charlton Memorial Hospital, in the patient accounts department. Patsy loved the teachings of the Lord and was the Missionette Leader for many years at the Bridgeton Assembly Of God, New Jersey. Patsy enjoyed baking, puzzles, watching crime shows and anything with her favorite dancer, Michael Flatley.

Besides her husband of 26 years, she is survived by her children, Jamie Marks (husband Edward), and Stephen Travassos ; a granddaughter, Savannah Marks; siblings, Jeffrey Scates, Michael Scates (wife Sondra), and a sister by marriage, Jerrie Scates; nieces and a nephew

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., and Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., with a Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON, at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.

In honor of Patsy, the family is requesting guests to wear any shade of purple.
