Patrick John Carney

Patrick J. Carney, 72, of Somerset, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024.

He was the husband of Donna J. (Shannon) Carney.  Patrick was employed by Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) as a bus driver.

Besides his wife of 53 years, he leaves a son, Sean Carney of Somerset and a daughter, Shannon Donahue (husband Michael) of Barrington; three grandchildren, Sean and Lillian Carney and Cole Donahue; three siblings, Michael Carney of North Carolina, Diane Carney of Texas and Gerald Carney of Onset, MA.  Patrick was the brother of the late Kevin Carney and the son of the late John P. and Dorothy (Devney) Carney.  He also leaves nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Monday, February 12 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Spring Street, Fall River, at 10:00 AM.
