Patricia A. Wood, RN, 74, of Belleview Ave., Tiverton, formerly of Fall River, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and Union Hospital School of Nursing, she was the surgical nurse with the practice of Dr. Daniel Mooney and head nurse of the Rhode Island Hospital Neurosurgery Department.
She leaves 2 children, Anne M. Goldman and her husband David of Warwick, RI and Christopher J. Wood and his wife Aileen of Tiverton; 3 grandchildren, Jacob Paul Wood, Thomas Patrick Wood and Emily Anne Goldman; siblings, William Coffey and Rita Coffey, both of Tiverton and Lorna Abretski of Virginia Beach, VA and many nieces and nephews.
The daughter of the late Thomas F. and Anne Marie (Miozza) Coffey and the sister of the late Thomas Coffey and Helen Gagnon, "Pat" was dubbed "Queen of Red Sox Nation".
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church, Beattie St., Fall River at 9:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dialysis Center, 22 Hurst LA, Tiverton RI 02878 would be appreciated.
