Oscar R. "Red" Martel

Oscar R. "Red" Martel, 96, of Mt. Hope Ave., Fall River, husband of Rosalie (Canuel) Martel, entered into rest, Friday, February 13, 2015. A Navy veteran of WW II, he was formerly employed by Duro Industries. Besides his wife of 73 years, he leaves three children, Robert E. Martel and his wife Margaret of Tiverton, Richard A. Martel and his wife Linda of Fall River and Doris J. Copley of Dartmouth; grandchildren, Christopher Copley, Scott Copley and his wife Daphne, Wendy Rapoza, Lisa Hackett and Richard P. Martel and his wife Jen; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Madison Rapoza, Eric, Nathan and Chace Hackett, Riley Martel and Colin and Connor Copley; a brother, Armand Martel of Somerset and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Alphonse and Eva (Blain) Martel. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Anne Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
