Olivia "Olive" (Ferreira) Martin

Olivia "Olive" (Ferreira) Martin, 94, of Swansea, wife of the late John J. Martin, entered into rest Friday, December 8, 2017 after a long illness.

She leaves two children, Shirley A. Martin of Swansea and John L. Martin and his companion Lynda Gremza of Greenville, RI. She was the loving grandmother of Amy, Katie and Alex Martin of Warwick, RI and also leaves her pet cat "Kalee". Our mother loved her family more than anything in this world. She was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Rapoza) Ferreira and the sister of the late Rose Moniz, Mary Machado and Joseph Ferreira. We would like to thank the staff at Sarah Brayton for their compassion and care, especially her very special CNA Laurie Freitas.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardner's Neck Rd., Swansea, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.

Visitation, Wednesday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Donations, in her memory, may sent to Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
