Normand W. Morrissette

Normand W. Morrissette, 83, of Plymouth Ave., Fall River, formerly of Johnson St., husband of Bertha C. (Madore) Morrissette, died Monday, December 13, 2010. A retired bus driver for the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority, he was employed by the former White's Spa many years ago. He was a St.Vincent de Paul Society Top Hat Award recipient, a Eucharistic Minister and Marian Medal recipient, a member of St. Anne Fellowship, and the First Friday Club, and a charter member of the Niagara Neighborhood Association. Besides his wife of 61 years, he leaves, 3 children, Gerald Morrissette (wife Vivianne) of Fall River, Pauline Phelan (husband William) of Canterbury, CT and Kenneth Morrissette (wife Cristine) of No. Dartmouth: grandchildren, Scott Morrissette (wife Lily), Dr. Jon Morrissette (wife Carly), Timothy Morrissette (wife Vanessa), Gregory, Michelle, Erin, Jacob and Allyson Morrissette, Bethany Gomes (husband Derek), Stephen Phelan and Keith Phelan (wife Jessica); great-grandchildren, Ethan Morrissette and Jack Gomes; sisters, Doris MacMurray and Annette Figuerido, both of Fall River and Jeannette Thibeault of CT and nieces and nephews He was the father of the late Ronald Morrissette (wife Arline Shephard of Florida); the son of the late Wilfred and Regina (Raymond) Morrissette and the brother of the late Robert and Dorothy Morrissette. His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
