Normand U. Chouinard

Normand U. Chouinard, Jr., 59, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2009 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House. Normand was born in Fall River, MA where he lived until moving to Jupiter, FL in 1994. During this time he worked in the sheltered workshop at Seagull Industries for the Disabled in Riviera Beach, FL. In 2000 he moved to T and M Ranch in Indiantown, FL where he resided for two years. With the closing of T and M Ranch, Normand rejoined his friends at Seagull Industries, both in the workshop and in their group home on Singer Island. He remained there until moving to Stuart, FL under the auspices of Martin County ARC, in 2006. Normand lived at ARC's Casa House and worked at the sheltered workshop until his recent hospitalization in March, 2009. Normand delighted in bringing happiness to everyone he met. He was friendly and helpful with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved music and dancing and particularly enjoyed the music and costumes of the Lawrence Welk show. Normand was predeceased by his parents, Normand U. Sr. and Anna (Berube) Chouinard. He is survived by his aunts and uncles, Cecile and Roger Chouinard of Tequesta, FL , Roland and Claudette Chouinard of NH and Georgette Chouinard of Somerset and cousins. His funeral will be held Wednesday, April 15, at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 11:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Entombment, with his parents in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum in Fall River. Visitation and flowers omitted.
