Normand J. Charest

Normand J. Charest, 71, of North Smithfield, RI, formerly of Fall River, entered into rest Monday, September 26, 2016.

A graduate of Msgr. Prevost High School, he served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was a self employed building contractor. He was an artist in stone and wood sculpting and the reproduction of fine furniture.
He leaves three sisters, Lillian Berube of Fall River, Claudette Yokell and her husband Normand of Westport and Diane Mendoza and her husband James of Berkley; nieces, nephews and his best friend, Al Menard of North Smithfield. He was the son of the late Herve and Leontine (Legendre) Charest and the brother of the late Paul J. Charest.
Visitation at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Friday, October 7, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a funeral service at 6:30 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
