Norman L. Letendre

March 9, 1916 — December 3, 2014

Norman L. Letendre, 98, of Somerset, husband of the late Jeanne (Robert) Letendre, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014. A machinist and diesel mechanic and member of Local 251, Teamsters Union, he was employed by W. T. Manning and Hemingway Transportation. He leaves three children, Norman R. Letendre and his wife Karen of Somerset, CWO5 Robert J. Letendre, USA (Ret.) and his wife Lucille of Winter Springs, FL and Suzanne Baker of Fall River; six grandchildren, Kristin Wood, Jason Letendre, Scott Letendre, René Leavitt, Mark Baker and Jasmine Olean; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Gloria Moon of NM, George Letendre of Tiverton and Ronald Letendre and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Lamontagne) Letendre and the brother of the late Cecile Violette, Edward Letendre and Theresa Croke. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Louis de France Church, Swansea at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 182 No. Main St., Fall River MA 02720.
