Norman T. "Pép&egravere" Fontaine, 81, of Rolling Green Drive, Fall River, died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Saint Anne's Hospital.

He was the husband of Jeanne (Carrier) Fontaine.

Born in Fall River, the son of the late Arthur and Ezilda (Beaulieu) Fontaine, he lived in Swansea for 21 years and in Fall River most of his life.

An Army veteran of WW II, he was employed by Duro Finishing for many years, retiring in 1987.

A collector of stamps, post cards and hats, animal lover and avid card player, he frequented the North End Senior Center.

Besides his wife of 60 years, he is survived by 6 children, Claudette Pacheco Solitro and Paul Fontaine, both of Fall River, Susan Ksen of Palm Coast, Florida, Patricia Heaslip of Rehoboth, Keith Fontaine of Swansea and Kenneth Fontaine of Bridgewater;

11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Ovila, Blanche and Emile Fontaine, Irene Ducas, Germaine Costeldi and Juliette Cyr.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Name Church at 10:00.

Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
