Nathaniel “Nate” Peloquin, 48, of Newton, passed away at Newton-Wellesley Hospital Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Born in Fall River, the son of Peter G. and Carolyn Morley Peloquin, he was raised in Berkley. Nate was a graduate of Coyle and Cassidy High School Class of 1993. He became a Master Plumber as a member of the Plumbers and Gasfitters UA Local 12, and was employed as a foreman by DJ Plumbing located in Danvers, MA.
Besides his parents, he leaves his companion, Rebecca Tildesley; two sisters, Emily K. Peloquin-Pape and her husband Jonathan and Lauren E. Peloquin Shea and her husband Matt; his nephews, Simon Pape and Aengus Shea, his niece, Maeve Shea; Lindsey Javery Do and Taylor Javery, who he loved as his own; as well as the extended Salmon Family.
Nate had many interests including his love of the ocean, the Patriots, snowboarding, swimming, biking, music, video games, and his passion for food, particularly Portuguese cuisine. Nate’s greatest passion was his loving and devoted family, whom he credited for his life, his survival, and for his happiness. Nate had overcome all odds, serving as a power of example to those who followed on the path of sobriety in the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.
We are immensely proud of Nate’s many accomplishments, none more so than his successful battle over addiction. In honor of Nate’s recovery, we ask that you please omit flowers and consider a donation to The Herren Project which is a national nonprofit organization providing free resources and support for the treatment, recovery and prevention of substance use disorder.
