Natarcia Marie Cruz, 24, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in her home in Fall River, MA, surrounded by her loving family. Natarcia was born and raised in Hartford, CT, until moving to Fall River, MA where she graduated from Bishop Connolly High School. Due to her love of learning, she continued her education at Roger Williams University, graduating in 2010 with a degree in Education and Psychology. She is survived by her parents Connie (Baptista) Cruz, Ismael Cruz, sisters Alexandria and Carlinda, her boyfriend Ian Martins, maternal grandmother Maria Ana Baptista, paternal grandmother Guillermina Guzman and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Natarcia lived life to its fullest with a positive outlook and an invigorating attitude. She enjoyed the arts, photography, traveling abroad, reading and spending time with her family, friends and her pets Koda and Comet. Natarcia was a very strong woman who fought a valiant battle against brain cancer. She will forever be remembered for her love of life and her resilient spirit. We cherish the gift of having Natarcia in our lives. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, west 6th floor, Brookline MA 02445 (with the notation In Memory of Natarcia M. Cruz), greatly appreciated.
