Natalia (Martins) Batista, 76, of Fall River, died Monday, July 21, 2008. Born in St. Michael, Azores, the daughter of the late Jose and Maria (Rebello) Martins, she enjoyed bingo and crafts.
She leaves 5 children, Jose Batista of Florence, SC and Victor, Mario and Fernando Batista, all of Fall River and Anna Cardoza of Fairhaven; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a brother, Alberto Martins and a stepsister, Connie Martins both of Canada and her companion George Proyous.
She was the former wife of Viriato Batista and the sister of the late Louisa Farias and Norberto and Octavio Martins.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 5:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.
Visitation, Monday 3:00 to 6:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Assn., PO Box 1525, Fall River MA 02722.
