Silvia-Plouffe, Nancy Grace (Champlain) 60- of Somerset MA; a former resident of Fall River, passed away peacefully, on Sunday morning, March 11th, 2007. Daughter of the late Abraham Champlain and the late Mary (Botelho) of Fall River, MA. Nancy was a retired seamstress. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a native American Indian, of the Narragansett Indian Tribe of Charlestown, RI. She enjoyed spending time with family, collecting and making Native American crafts, breeding dachshunds, collecting jewelry, and gardening. Nancy was the companion of 7 years, to Donald Mello and survived by her three beloved daughters; Dawn Silvia (long time companion, Thomas Oliveria) of Fall River, Rhonda Dopart (husband Eric Sr.) of Somerset, and Tracy Silvia of Swansea, MA. She was also blessed with 7 beautiful grandchildren; Tonya Dopart, Amanda Dopart, Brittany Desrosier, Eric Dopart Jr., Sabre Desrosier, Amber Silvia - Oliviera and August Desrosier IV and 2 great grandchildren, Evan Moniz and Landin Ahearn. Sister of the late Rita Souza, Sarah Moniz, Abraham Champlain Jr., and Mary Miranda. Survived by her brother Robert Champlain of Tiverton, RI. A funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow. Visitation, prior to the service Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
