Myrene (Mcardle) Elbert

Myrene P.  Elbert, age 82 of Tiverton, RI passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at home surrounded by family.

She was born on May 17, 1941 in Fall River, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Gwendolyn (Foley)  and Paul McArdle. She was married to Donald G. Elbert Jr at Chapel by the Sea in Newport RI.

Myrene graduated from Dominican Academy in 1959 and Bryant College Business School in 1962. She worked in business for many decades including as the executive assistant to the Dean of Fine Arts at University of Akron and also as a medical transcriptionist in South Coast Hospital.  She was a generous, kind individual always giving of herself to others with endless patience.

She is survived by her husband of 50yrs and 2 children: Kathryn Elbert of Waltham, MA and Paula Starnes (Steve Starnes) of Mills, MA.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, from 4:00 PM to  7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St. Fall River.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 3 at St. Christopher’s Church, 1554 Main Rd. Tiverton at 10:00 AM.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St.Christopher Church.
