Muriel E. (Piekos) Charest, 80, of So. Almond St., Fall River, died Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Robert A. "Bob" Charest.
A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Ouellette) Piekos.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was employed by Duro Finishing Co. for many years.
She was a St. Anne Parish Senior Girl Scouts leader for many years and sang with local Big Bands under the name of Muriel Mann, many years ago. With her late husband she wintered in Port Charlotte, Florida for many years.
She leaves a daughter, Carol Ann Mullaly and her husband John of Somerset;
2 sons, Robert R. Charest and his wife Theresa of Swansea
and Steven P. Charest and his wife Caroline of Somerset;
and 7 grandchildren, Thomas Mullaly and Aimee, Jocelyn, Caitlyn, Matthew, Joseph and John Charest.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM.
Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
