Monique J. (Bernier) Caron

Monique J. (Bernier) Caron, 87, of Fall River and Somerset, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Catholic Memorial Home surrounded by her children.

She was the loving wife of the late Leo R. Caron whom she dearly missed.

Monique and Leo operated My Coach/Townsend Tours for 29 years. Prior to that she also worked at St. Anne’s Hospital in the Radiology Department as a Radiology Technician and Office Manager. She most enjoyed spending time with her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children, Richard Caron (wife Sonia), Raymond Caron (wife Suzanne), Jocelyne Farias (husband Richard), and Michelle Berube (husband James); grandchildren, Rebecca Farias Tetrault (husband Michael), Jessica Farias Briggs (husband Brett), Courtney  Berube, Nicholas Berube (wife Caitlin), Austin Berube (fiancée Kylie Furtado), Makenzie Berube, Philippe Caron (fiancée Brooke Coffill), and Emilie Caron; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Tetrault and Shane and Nathaniel Briggs; a brother, Robert Bernier, a sister, Paulette Howard (late husband Edward).  She also leaves her sisters in law, Pauline Caron (husband late Roger), Vivianne Silvia (husband Ernest) and she was also the sister in law of the late Aime Caron (late wife Joyce).

Monique was the daughter of the late Omer O. and Germaine H. (Rivard) Bernier and the sister of the late Andre Bernier (wife Pierrette).

The family would like to express their  gratitude to the staff of Catholic Memorial Home, Unit 3, for the exceptional care their mother received.

Visitation, Monday, January 8, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 9th at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass in Good Shepherd Church, South Main St., at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be private.
