Miguel S. Massa

Miguel S. "Mike" Massa, Jr., 90, of Fall River, husband of 68 years of Dolores (Audette) Massa, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018.

He was an Army veteran of WW II, was employed by Borges Sand & Gravel and owned and operated Massa's Auto Repair. A Master Mason, he was a member of Noquochoke and Pioneer Lodges and was also a member of the Scottish Rite and Azab Grotto and a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

He was the father of Miguel S. "Mike" Massa, III (wife Ann Marie) of Somerset, Francis E. Massa of Westport, , Natalie Pare (husband Robert) of Tiverton and the late Carolyn Marie Desmarais (husband Bruce of New Bedford) and the late Geraldine Ryder (late husband William); the grandfather of Gary Corvelo, Craig and Desiree Desmarais, Crystal Couture and Jacquelyn Souza (Stephen); the great-grandfather of Soleil and Kiara Corvelo, Jacob Desmarais, Matthew and Dylan Willis and Stephen and Racquel Souza; the brother of Luis Massa (wife Evelyn) of Fall River and Delores Costa (late husband Manuel) of Tiverton; and also leaves nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Miguel and Mary (Costa) Massa.

His funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.

Visitation, prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to VNA-Hospice, 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven MA 02719.
