Michael J. Souza

Michael J. Souza, 58, of Fall River, husband of Donna (Silvia) Souza and son of Dolores (Cabral) Souza and the late James Souza of Fall River, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017. Besides his wife of 35 years and mother, he leaves a son, Matthew M. Souza of Fall River. He was the son-in-law of the late Donald and Therese (Potvin) Silvia and also leaves his brother-in-law Marc Silvia and his wife Melissa and his niece and goddaughter, Alyssa Silvia, all of Fall River.

A graduate of Durfee High School and Roger Williams College, he and his late father owned and operated the former New England Poultry (NEP) in Portsmouth. He was also employed by Raytheon Co., Portsmouth, was a Famous Amos Cookies distributor and was employed by Rte. 6 Auto Mall Kia, Swansea and Somerset Subaru. He was an avid sports and auto racing fan.

His funeral mass will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. Relatives and friends invited. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery.

Visitation and flowers omitted. Donations may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston MA 02215. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Auclair Funeral Home.
