Michael A. "Troy" Manuels

Michael A. "Troy" Manuels, 64, of Somerset, husband of Marylou (Costa) Manuels, entered into rest Sunday, November 29, 2015. A member of the Durfee High School Class of 1970 and well known singer-songwriter, Michael Troy was recognized by the Massachusetts State Senate for this contribution to the Arts and Music, October 25 being Michael Troy Day in Fall River. Besides his wife of 35 years, he leaves four precious daughters, Sarah Beth Manuels-Soupir and her husband Chad of Excelsior, MN, Rachel Lee Manuels of Somerset, Rebekah Kay Rezendes and her husband Nick of Destin, FL and Hannah Marie Manuels of Somerset; four grandchildren, Jared Michael Deschene, Elizabeth Mary Nientimp, Henry Michael Soupir and Charles Ryan Soupir; childhood friend, Capt. Lou Lagace; many dear cousins, friends and fans; siblings, Richard Manuels and Cheryl Cummings, both of Fall River. He was the son of the late Antone and Belmira (Tavares) Manuels and the brother of the late Robert Tate. His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Patrick Church, Somerset at 9:30 a.m. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Visitation, Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
