Michael A. Henrick, 53, of East Main Rd., Portsmouth, died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, following a long illness.
He was the former husband of Marsha (Turner) Skarka of Tiverton.
Born in Newport, RI, the son of Sarah (Dean) Henrick-Breedlove of Monroe, Georgia and the late Daniel Henrick, he had lived in Florida and Tiverton for many years and in Portsmouth for the past 4 years.
He owned and operated Michael's Auto Sales in Fall River for over 20 years, retiring in 2002 due to illness.
Mr. Henrick was a graduate of Portsmouth High School class of 1972 and was a Volunteer Portsmouth Fire Fighter.
He enjoyed boating and car races.
Besides his mother, he leaves 2 daughters, Theresa Henrick of Tiverton and Nickole Bonito and her husband Ryan of Fall River;
a step-mother, Lucille Henrick of Peabody, MA 3 brothers, David and Daniel Henrick, both of Peabody, and Robert Breedlove of Georgia; a grandson, Nicholas Michael Rose of Tiverton.
his dear friend, April Daquay of Portsmouth; and nieces and nephews.
He was the grandson of the late Anthony and Theresa (Mesa) Henrick.
Funeral service Monday at 10 AM in Auclair Funeral Home, 690 S. Main St. Fall River, with burial following in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown. Visitation Sunday from 5 to 7 PM.
