Michael R. Firlit

Michael R. Firlit, 46, of Swansea, entered into eternal rest and now at peace with his loving mother and father, Tuesday, August 2, 2016.

A talented finish carpenter and woodworker, he operated MRF Custom Finish Carpentry. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid baseball player and fan.

He leaves his former wife, Christine (Kelly) DeSousa of Somerset; his son, Isaac Michael Firlit of Somerset; his sister, Christine A. Rizza of Dighton; a nephew, Robert Medeiros and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the son of the late Robert M. and Claudette (Durette) Firlit.

His funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the South Swansea Baptist Church, 25 Church St., Swansea. Interment, St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.

Visitation at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston MA 02241-7005.
