Michael J. Doherty

Michael J. Doherty, 51, of Providence, formerly of Tiverton and Fall River, son of Paula L. (Jackson) Doherty of Fall River and the late James B. Doherty, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010. A member of St. Patrick Parish, Providence, he was an automobile salesman in Greater Providence and Florida. Besides his mother, he leaves siblings, Brian and Kevin Doherty, both of Fall River and Sheila Foley and her husband Thomas of Tiverton; nieces, Lauren, Meghan and Mary Kate Foley; and his companion, Susan Malichansey. His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
