Melissa Kristin DaSilva McKay, 33, of Westport, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Fall River, she is the beloved daughter of Christian P. DaSilva and Paula M. (Polselli) DaSilva who cared for her daily for their 33 years together. Missy was the Granddaughter of the late Christian and Inez (Pimentel) DaSilva and the Late Armand and Delores (Madore) Polselli. She was the goddaughter of James Morrell and Laurie (Polselli) Pacheco.
Besides her parents she leaves her husband of 4 years, Jonathan McKay, a brother, Daniel DaSilva, a sister, Kerrie Moreau and husband Alex Moreau; two nieces who were the light of her world Kaylie and Abbie Moreau; and a stepson, Alfred James “AJ” Griswold McKay.
She was the sister of the late Kristin DaSilva.
Missy lived her life to the fullest and allowed no limits her body set on her to hold her back. She was always up for an adventure and brought her spunk, strength and determination to make her dreams and wishes come true. She graduated from BCC with an Accounting Certificate. Missy loved going to concerts (Taylor Swift and Dan + Shay), she attend WWE wrestling events, loved video and board games, and cared deeply for her dogs over the years Emma, Sarabeth, Bella, Nala, and most recently Maggie Mae and all of Missy’s puppies.
Missy has met some of the most amazing people and lifelong friends : Anna, Cheryl, Jordan, Callie, Kylie. We thank all of the nurses, PCAs, specialists and family who cared for Missy like she was their daughter during her years with us.
A visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.
Her funeral will be private.
