Maurice J. Turgeon

Maurice J. “Butch” Turgeon, 82, of Somerset, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

He was the husband of the late Frances D. “Fran” (Rivera) Turgeon.

He was an accountant at Balfour and worked  at Charlton Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department.  He enjoyed visiting the casino, reading, watching the Red Sox and Bruins.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era, earning the rank of Airman First Class.

He leaves three children, Suzette Mitchell ( husband Doug), Jay Turgeon (wife Tracey Murphy) and Keith Turgeon;

Two grandchildren, Justin Mitchell (companion Andrea Figaratto) and Niall Mitchell (wife Miranda); great-grandchildren, Victoria Mitchell, Thayer Mitchell, Oliver Mitchell and Charlotte Mitchell; a sister, Diane Turgeon and he was the brother of the late Pauline Turgeon and  the son of the late Aime and Irene (Marchand) Turgeon

His Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 7 at 10:00 AM at Saint Patrick’s Church, South St. Somerset.
